Type: Darshan Dwar Phulkari - The layout mimics a pillared corridor or temple colonnade, divided into prominent vertical tracks by delicate embroidered border frames.
Age & Origin: 70-100 years old, from Doaba Region (Jalandhar–Kapurthala, Punjab)
Fabric & Thread: Made on Khaddar cotton using bright Pat silk threads
Technique: Handmade with the darning stitch from the back side by carefully counting fabric threads.
Pattern Used: The primary pattern used in this is the Shakh (branched tree-of-life or ceremonial chandelier motif), arranged in a highly structured, architectural layout.
Special Feature: This Phulkari leaves parts of the base fabric visible and is unique for its storytelling embroidery style.
Measurements: H- 97" / W- 54"
Material: Made on Khaddar cotton using shiny pat silk threads
