Type: Darshan Dwar Phulkari, this design uses an interlocking, stepped triangular layout to form its architectural columns, mimicking rows of vaulted temple arches or continuous shrines
Age & Origin: 70-100 years old, from Doaba Region (Jalandhar–Kapurthala, Punjab)
Fabric & Thread: Made on Khaddar cotton using bright Pat silk threads
Technique: Handmade with the darning stitch from the back side by carefully counting fabric threads for precise patterns.
Pattern Used: The field is arranged in vertical columns populated by stacked, triangular tree-of-life or chandelier motifs. The delicate, branching arms terminate in sharp angles, creating a lighter, almost floating geometric rhythm.
Special Feature: This Phulkari Proper has spaced motifs and visible khaddar fabric, giving it a lighter, elegant handcrafted appearance.
Measurements: H- 89" / W- 53"
Material: Made on Khaddar cotton using shiny pat silk threads
